Not Fair

In the car
playing i-spy with my brother to pass the time
Wishing the journey didn't take so long.
Filled with excitement.
Bursting with ideas of where to go first.
To the albert Dock, where all the shops seemed to hold a touch of magic and mystery?
To the football ground where I remember the first time I saw my dad cry with happiness?
To the shops where fashions allowed you to be different and everyone was.
Why was it only every month we visited here from our Welsh home?
Why couldn't I live with my grandparents in Garston?
Little girls should be allowed to change these decisions.
it's not fair.
What is Liverpool to me?
My childhood sunshine through the clouds.
