Built-up Area

Roger of Poictiers,
And not I'm told old John,
Built him here a castelet.

In seventeen and four,
For over six pounds rent,
The constable held the door.

St. George (and his dragon)
Got a church in its place,
From then the castle was gone.

That ancient seaside house,
Led to the beginnings
Of our city, home of scouse.
