Scouse to Make a City

Culture is the stove
That cooks us all together
History is the pot
Holding past, present and future.

The cathedral is the beef
The main ingredient
The shops are the spuds
The main place to be.

The people are the juice, the broth
That holds the city in place
The onions are the accent
Layers of laughter.

The Liver Birds are the hunks of bread
Soaking up the culture
The Swedes and turnips are my roots
Building up the family
Decade after decade.
