Pennies from Heaven

She didnít put too much value on herself.
She didnít think she had much to offer as she struggled
to make ends meet.

I remember the pennies she scraped together,
week after week, year after year,
to give the man from the Pru.

Two thousand pounds Ė it felt like a gift from heaven.
I bought some pretty pieces to pass on to the
great grandchildren she never saw.
A legacy from someone who never knew her true worth.
